Anne has been making art throughout her life, and it has almost always focused on her love for people. She digests as many variations in physical traits as she can, and tries to depict the very vibe or nuance which radiates from people. As a kid reading daily comics from both Chicago newspapers with her family, poring over illustrations in storybooks, to graffiti art characters and animated movies—all these stylized depictions of people sparkle in her eyes.
Anne practices realism as well, and has always struggled to make time to pursue independent projects alongside an improvised career in art production jobs of several kinds. Anne uses computers to assist in designing murals but prefers to make her art by hand, and the outcomes from “happy accidents” along the way. Anne’s work is clean with attention to detail, and seeks to highlight the noble striving of the human spirit even in the midst of mundanity and anguish.

Old fixtures crafted by hand and old places, bricks and stones worn down by weather and people. So much tragedy, heartbreak, and kindnesses. So many beauties and wonders of the natural world. Smells, memories, music and moments.
